Corporate relocation services from Europe — overseas employee moving

Relocating employees internationally is one of the most complex HR challenges a business faces. Simplo makes it straightforward. We provide a dedicated overseas moving service for corporate clients — managing employee household goods moves from anywhere in Europe to the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UAE, and South Africa.

Our groupage model means you never pay for empty container space. Employee moves are priced by volume — making relocation budgets predictable and cost-effective, whether you're moving one employee or fifty.

  • Fixed-term assignments — employee relocating for 1–3 years, requiring return move planning
  • Repatriation — employee returning to their home country at the end of an overseas assignment
  • New hire relocations — candidate moving from Europe to join a company overseas
  • Family relocations — full household moves including spouse and children
  • Single/partial moves — employee moving alone while family remains temporarily in Europe

Our corporate moving service

Dedicated account management

Corporate clients are assigned a dedicated account manager — a single point of contact for all employee moves. Your account manager coordinates directly with HR, the employee, and any destination-side contacts, removing the burden from your internal team.

Employee move coordination

Each employee moving with Simplo is assigned their own move coordinator. The coordinator manages the entire relocation journey — from pre-move survey and packing through to customs clearance and final delivery — keeping the employee informed at every stage.

Transparent, volume-based pricing

All moves are priced by cubic metre. No hidden costs, no surprise invoices. We provide a detailed quote for each employee move before confirmation, and we flag any destinationspecific costs (customs broker fees, biosecurity inspections, etc.) upfront.

HR reporting and documentation

We provide HR teams with structured move reports including timelines, status updates, and completion confirmations. All documentation — inventories, customs forms, proof of delivery — is archived and available on request for audit and compliance purposes.

Volume agreements for multiple moves

Clients with regular relocation activity can negotiate preferred rates and service level agreements. Volume pricing is available for companies moving five or more employees per year. Contact our corporate team to discuss your programme.

Destinations we cover

Simplo provides corporate relocation to all six of our destination markets. Each route has dedicated customs clearance support and established delivery networks.

New Zealand MPI biosecurity strict. Allow 10–15 weeks. LHD vehicles require RHD conversion.

The employee relocation journey with Simplo

1. Brief and quote

HR or the employee contacts Simplo with move details. We provide a volume-based quote within 48 hours, including all origin and destination service costs.

2. Pre-move survey

A move coordinator conducts a pre-move survey with the employee — in person or by video call — to confirm volume, identify specialist items, and advise on destination customs requirements. This is where we flag anything that could cause issues (prohibited items, vehicle eligibility, visa status for UAE moves, biosecurity concerns for Australia and New Zealand).

3. Packing and collection

Professional packing is available at the employee's European home. Alternatively, we supply materials for self-packing. All goods are inventoried, and customs documentation is prepared before collection.

4. Consolidation and ocean freight

Goods are consolidated at our Rotterdam hub and loaded into a shared container with other shipments on the same route. We provide tracking access to HR and/or the employee throughout transit.

5. Customs clearance

Our destination-side customs broker handles clearance. We coordinate the process with HR and the employee, ensuring all required documents are in place before the shipment arrives — avoiding storage charges or clearance delays.

6. Delivery and completion report

Door-to-door delivery is made to the employee's new address. Simplo provides HR with a move completion report including delivery confirmation and final documentation archive.

Why companies choose Simplo for corporate relocation

Cost control

Groupage pricing means you pay for exactly the volume moved — no wasted spend on empty container space. For companies running multiple moves per year, this creates significant savings versus traditional FCL (full container) movers.

Single point of contact

One account manager handles all your employee moves. No coordinating multiple suppliers across different countries. One invoice, one relationship, one reporting structure.

Employee experience

International moves are stressful for employees and their families. Simplo's move coordinators support employees throughout the process — reducing the burden on HR and improving the employee's relocation experience.

Customs expertise across six markets

Each destination has different customs rules, biosecurity requirements, and documentation standards. Simplo's team knows each market — USA CBP, Australian ABF/MPI, Canadian CBSA, UAE Dubai Customs, South African SARS, and New Zealand MPI/NZCS — and prepares employees correctly before departure.

Frequently asked questions

Can Simplo work alongside our existing RMC (relocation management companies)?

Yes. We work alongside relocation management companies as the physical moving and freight partner. Your RMC manages the broader relocation (housing, visa, schooling) and Simplo handles the household goods movement. We're experienced in this model and integrate smoothly with most major RMCs.

Do you offer return move services for assignments ending?

Yes. Repatriation moves — from the destination country back to Europe — are available on most routes. Route-specific details and pricing are provided at the time of return move booking.

What if an employee's move is cancelled after booking?

Cancellation terms are set out in our service agreement. For corporate accounts, we offer flexible cancellation windows. Your account manager advises on terms at the time of agreement.

Can you handle high-value or specialist items?

Yes. We provide specialist packing and crating for art, antiques, musical instruments, wine collections, and other high-value items. A pre-move survey identifies these items and a specialist handling plan is prepared. Transit insurance is strongly advised for high-value shipments.

Do you move to destinations outside your standard six?

Our primary routes are USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UAE, and South Africa. For moves to other destinations, contact our corporate team — we can often facilitate through our partner network.
