Core service — overseas groupage moving
Our primary service is overseas household moves using groupage (LCL — Less than Container Load) shipping. Your goods share a container with other carefully packed shipments heading to the same destination. You pay only for the volume you use.

Packing services
Professional packing is available for all moves. Our trained packers use export-grade doublewalled cartons, specialist wrapping for fragile items, and custom timber crating for high-value or oversized pieces.
Full packing service
Our team arrives at your home on a scheduled packing day and packs everything — every room, every item — using export-grade materials. All items are inventoried in real time for your customs documentation.

Partial packing service
We pack fragile, high-value, or specialist items (mirrors, artwork, electronics, antiques) and you pack the rest using our supplied materials and guidance.

Self-pack with supplied materials
We supply export-grade packing materials — boxes, tape, bubble wrap, tissue paper — and you pack your own goods following our packing guide. You prepare your own itemised inventory using our template.

Note: Self-packed shipments are accepted for all destinations. However, some destination customs authorities conduct random inspections — our packing guide ensures your self-packed goods meet export standards.

Transit insurance
International shipping always carries some risk. Simplo offers comprehensive transit insurance for your household goods covering the full door-to-door journey.

- Claims managed directly through Simplo — no dealing with third-party insurers
- Strongly recommended for all overseas moves, particularly for high-value items
Note: Transit insurance is optional but strongly advised. The cost is typically 1–3% of declared value. Your move coordinator provides a full quote at booking
Vehicle shipping
Simplo can ship your vehicle alongside your household goods in the same container, or as a standalone shipment where volumes allow. This is typically more cost-effective than booking a specialist vehicle shipper separately.

Destination-specific vehicle rules — summary
- USA: Must meet FMVSS/EPA standards. Noncompliant vehicles require modification or bond.
- Canada: Must meet Transport Canada standards. NonNorth American market cars may need modifications.
- South Africa: New immigrants: 1 vehicle duty-free with import permit (VAT still payable). Must be owned 12+ months.
- UAE: Left-hand drive only. Right-hand drive not permitted. No heavily tinted glass.
- Australia: Must meet ADR standards. Left-hand drive requires conversion. Vehicles 25+ years may be exempt.
- New Zealand: Left-hand drive must convert to RHD. Vehicles subject to NZTA compliance inspection.
Note: Vehicle import rules change. Simplo confirms current eligibility and compliance requirements at the time of booking before any vehicle is shipped.

Do you move to destinations not listed here?
Our current routes are USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UAE, and South Africa. If you need to move to another destination, contact our team — we facilitate moves to unlisted destinations through our partner network.
Can I choose which services I add?
Yes. Every move starts with the core groupage service. Packing, storage, insurance, and vehicle shipping are all optional add-ons. Your move coordinator builds a service package based on your specific needs and budget.
Do you handle corporate relocations?

What is the minimum volume you accept?
There is no strict minimum. Groupage is cost-effective even for small shipments — some customers move as little as 2–3 cubic metres (a few boxes and a piece of furniture). Use our quote tool to get a price for any volume.
